Q. Are our membership dues changing? A. Nope- your dues will not be changing as part of this transition.
Q. Will we get access to other The Pad gyms? A. Yes! Your membership dues now include access to The Pad in San Luis Obispo and Santa Maria
Q. I have some concerns, can I talk to someone about this? A. Of course! Our team is happy to help in any way we can with addressing any concerns you may have.
Q. Are your hours going to change? A. Nope! Our hours, including membership hours, are not changing- you can still plan your climbing time as normal!
Q. Are there any big changes planned? A. Only good ones! You can expect The Pad to reinvest more into the facility, community, and more!
Q. Will there still be yoga? A. Yes! Not only that, but we plan to expand the program with more classes soon!
Q. Are Andy and John still going be around? A. Yes! Andy will remain as Head Setter for Origin and John will be working both at Origin and The Pad in various capacities, so you'll definitely still see them around!
Q. Will we get to meet any of The Pad team? A. Yes! The Pad team will be visiting Origin in mid-November and we'll let you know more details when we have them!
Q. Why did Origin sell to The Pad? A. You can find a personal letter about this from John and Andy here.
Q. Are other costs for the gym (day pass, rentals) going to change? A. No, all current pricing will stay the same through the transition.
Q. When does Origin officially become part of The Pad Family? A. November 1st, 2019
Q. Are you changing the name to The Pad? A. No! The Pad loves our name and what it means to our community, so we will be keeping Origin Climbing and Fitness as our name!
Q. Will there be any time where we can talk to John and Andy in person about this? A. Yes! Andy and John will be around the gym in general and happy to chat, but we'll be holding informational meetings about the change on Friday, October 25th and Tuesday, October 29th at 5.30pm.
